EFAS honours the lifetime work of a distinguished scholar or clinician in audiology and hearing sciences with the EFAS lifetime award. For early career scientist, EFAS also calls for the nomination of the EFAS early career award. Both honors are usually awarded every 2 years on the occasion of the biannual EFAS congress.
